"Eat Your Heart Out!": World

The world tells you and me to eat our hearts out.

If we follow its advice, we are likely to literally lose our hearts, as experienced each year, by the faithful millions of followers who undoubtedly sacrifice theirs through unwise eating!

Man has indeed made his belly his God. And for this, he pays an extremely heavy price--destruction in the end! How true is the verse, Philippians 3:19, in the Bible.

Jesus Christ, in a sense, predicted that this would be so in the last days: "As in the days that were before the flood (during Noah's time) they were eating and drinking...so shall (they) also" during the end times (Matthew 24:37-39). He was obviously not talking about man's need to eat and drink in order to live, but of man's love of eating and drinking per se and the way he would do them. Yes, people would be binging like never before as at the time just prior to the flood when those who were so engrossed with their habitual pastimes did not hear--or they simply refused to listen to--Noah's words of warning; they perished, as a result, from that great flood. I believe we are living in the end times.

Heart transplants (most cases are like signing a death warrant or opting for a shortened lifespan), heart attacks, heart failures and other related killer episodes or conditions claim the hearts and lives of those who are unwary or unaware of the dire consequences of their actions.

Will you continue to listen to the world? Take heed now, if you have been doing that!
